Free to Air is a very affordable way to get up to the minute information from around the world.
Many stations are purposely beamed unencrypted with the sole intention of reaching larger international markets.
Commercial Satellite providers like Dish Network & Direct TV to name only two rebroadcast only “commercial stations” leaving many niche markets unsupported.
In the USA this is the case with many religious stations requiring an FTA system to receive & view them.
News is also an issue, many countries censor news both intentionally, or unintentionally if they don’t think their viewers would be interested, don’t be among the uninformed, get an FTA system & become one of the privileged few that actually know whats going on!
