UK’s Freeview TV to go pay tv?!? (03Aug10)

by Sat Man on August 14, 2010

A look at how some Freeview channels will go onto pay TV, and thus exposing why there is a big push by broadcasters to go to digital transmission. Analogue encryption can be easily broken, digital encryption is quite difficult and beyond the average person. So it is easy to make a channel pay version only, and get people to pay up for what they watch what once was free. Recorded from Newsnight, 03 August 2010.

now we know what digital switchover was all about – radio going digital is a bit more sinister.
